FAQs

For Company Drivers (W2 Employees)

Q: Do I need to provide my own vehicle? No. As a W2 Company Driver, you will operate a company-maintained vehicle. Fuel, insurance, and maintenance are fully covered.

Q: How does the pay work? Company drivers are paid on a Weekly schedule via direct deposit. We withhold all necessary federal and state taxes (Social Security, Medicare, etc.)

Q: Is there training provided? Yes. We provide on-the-job training covering route optimization software, safety protocols, and specialized handling (such as medical or high-security cargo).

For Independent Contractors (1099 / Owner-Operators)

Q: What do I need to onboard as a contractor? You will need to provide your own cargo van (2018 or newer preferred), proof of Commercial Auto Insurance ($1M limit typically required), and a completed W-9 form.

Q: How am I paid? Contractors receive settlements based on completed routes/deliveries. You are responsible for your own tax withholdings, fuel, and vehicle maintenance.

Q: Can I drive for other companies while contracted with you? Yes. As an independent contractor, you maintain your own business entity and have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and client base, provided our delivery results are met.

Q: What are the minimum requirements to drive for Braxton Group Inc? All drivers must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a DOT-compliant background check and drug screen. We look for a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 minor infractions in the last 3 years.

Q: What kind of vehicles do you operate? Our fleet primarily utilizes high-roof cargo vans for last-mile delivery and specialized logistics.

Q: Do I need a CDL? For our current cargo van operations, a standard Class C license is typically sufficient. However, specific medical transport or heavy-load contracts may require additional certifications which we will list in the specific job posting.
